experience . Mr. Jack has engaged in a wide variety of real estate appraisal
and consulting services for a wide variety of local, regional, and national clients during

Charles E. Jack IV, MAI
is a designated member
of the Appraisal Institute. This
designation is widely accepted as the pinnacle of achievement and demonstration of
appraisal knowledge, education, and training in the commercial real estate appraisal
profession. Currently, designated members are required to attend five
beginning/intermediate level courses and six advanced level courses totaling 383 hours of
class time. Members must also possess an accredited collegiate degree. Members
also are required to have three initial levels of experience review and a final level
review culminating in a total of 7,500 hours of experience review by a panel of peers or
designated experience screeners. The most challenging requirement is a demonstration
appraisal report that is graded by an experienced grader trained by the Appraisal Institute. The final hurdle
is a two-day, four-part comprehensive examination that must be passed before the candidate
is accepted for admission as a designated member. As one can see, the requirements
for this designation are not easily attained. Unlike other organizations that will
designate any appraiser for a fee, one must truly earn the designation from the Appraisal Institute.
Mr. Jack is also an alumni of the real estate program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
('BBA 90). This collegiate real estate program is widely known for its
excellence. In 1996, it was ranked #1 of all collegiate undergraduate and graduate real
estate programs. The undergraduate program is currently ranked second in
the nation behind only Wharton (University of Pennsylvania). The UW-Madison program is often regarded amongst the top five university
real estate programs in the United States. Mr. Jack is a member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association.
